What are Dr. Bucher's credentials?

  Dr. Bucher is board certified in Family Medicine. He holds fellowship degrees from the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American College of Nutrition. He has been practicing medicine for close to 30 years. He has received extensive training in office-based evaluation and treatment of Anal Dysplasia and HPV-related anal diseases at the University of California-San Francisco Dysplasia Clinic, at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, New York, and with the American Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology. Dr. Bucher also consults with Dr. Stephen Goldstone (the pioneer in anal dysplasia treatment) in New York City. Dr. Bucher is certified by the AIDS Malignancy Consortium (AMC) to perform high resolution anoscopy (HRA) for clinical trials sponsored by AMC, AIDS Clinical Trials Network Group (ACTG), and the National Cancer Institute (NCI). He is the only certified HRA provider in the midwest.(our surgical physician assistant Noah Goss is as well a certified HRA provider). We are currently performing HRAs for several clinical trials that are offered through North Western Memorial Hospital in Chicago, Rush Medical Center in Chicago and CORE center in Chicago. Dr. Bucher is also the principal investigator for Chicago site for the national anal cancer prevention study called ANCHOR.
